What documents do I need in order to register my child?
The following items must be brought to HMS in order to register your child if you are coming from outside the district.
- Child’s Social Security card
- Birth certificate
- SC Immunization form
- One proof of residence (such as utility bills/Lease agreement)
- NO CELL PHONE BILLS/CREDIT CARD BILLS WILL BE ACCEPTED
What if my child is transferring from another school?
In addition to the required items listed above, the following items help with appropriate academic placement:
- Withdrawl Form
- Report Card
- Standardized test scores
- Copy of special education IEP
- Discipline Record
How do I establish proof of residence if my family lives with another family in the school zone?
- Come to the Guidance Office and obtain a "Certification of Residence Form"
- One piece of mail, provided by the person who owns/rents the property. Suggestions include contract/lease, power bills, or water bill.
