What is the cost for a child’s school lunch?
School lunches are $1.50 daily. Reduced lunch is 40¢. The cost for breakfast is 75¢. Free and reduced breakfast is available for those who qualify. Reduced breakfast is $.30.
How do I pay for my child’s lunch?
The cafeteria operates on a computerized collection system. Money can be deposited into an account throughout the school year. We accept cash and checks but not credit cards for meal payment. Parents or students can bring payments to the cafeteria. Each student is assigned an account number, which is used throughout the entire school year. Students are asked to please bring pre-payments to cafeteria before 10:30 and put their number on the check.

How do I apply for free or reduced breakfast or lunch?
Reduced-priced and free meals are available for students whose families qualify, based upon family income and family size. Forms are available at HMS in the main office or the cafeteria. Can my child bring his lunch?
Children may choose to bring a lunch. It is recommended that ice packs be used to keep the lunch cool. For safety reasons, 2 microwaves are available for students. Please send nutritionally balanced lunches.
May I come to school to eat lunch with my child?
Parents are always welcome at HMS. Simply sign in at the main office, and meet your child in the cafeteria. Lunch cost for an adult is $3.00, or you may bring your own.
