I am a 30 year veteran in education with a B.A. from Clemson University in Elementary and Middle School Education, a Masters from Francis Marion University in Elementary Education, and a National Board Certification in Early Adolescence English Language Arts.

For 18 years, I worked as a classroom teacher in grades 2-9, with an emphasis in Middle Level ELA.  I am currently in my twelfth year as the Social Studies/English Language Arts Curriculum Coordinator/ Coordinating Teacher.

I enjoy travel and adventure; therefore, I am the trip coordinator for the Eighth Grade trip to Washington, D.C.

This year's trip will be April 9-12, 2019.

I also sponsor FCA.  The FCA meets in the HMS auditorium every Wednesday morning from 7:15 AM to 7:50 AM.  All students are invited to participate, but attendance is optional.

My office is open from 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM for students who may need a quiet place to study, work on a project, or gain extra assistance.  Please have your child let me know if he/she would like to schedule morning help.
