Hello My Name Is...

My name is Heather Steen. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Coker College, and later obtained my Master's from Lesley University. I am beginning my 10th year of teaching. I have taught grades 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. I have to say that I love teaching 6th grade, and I love teaching Science. I tell all of my students that I hated science when I was in elementary school because it was never fun. I strive to teach my students that science is fun and interesting because I never thought so when I was younger.
I am married to a wonderful man named Russell. He is an electrician at Sonoco, and we have one beautiful daughter named Emma Grey. She is my heart. I love being a mom and a teacher. I look forward to a great year with your child in Science.>
